Quotations are valid for 7 days. Full payment is required before release or shipment of any goods.

Warranties

Products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. We offer a 2-year workmanship warranty on qualifying installations.

Liability

Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods supplied, as permitted by law.

Full Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern the entire relationship between Solar Advice Pty Ltd and its customers. Please read them carefully.

General

1.1 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Solar Advice PTY LTD (“the Company”) and the customer. No amendment, variation, or consensual cancellation shall be valid unless reduced to writing and signed by both parties.

1.2 These Terms are subject to change without notice. Any order placed shall be governed by the Terms in force at the date of such order.

1.3 These Terms are final and binding and are not subject to any suspensive or dissolutive conditions.

1.4 Any terms or conditions proposed by the customer which conflict with these Terms are expressly excluded and shall be of no force or effect.

1.5 These Terms apply to the customer and all employees, agents, contractors, and representatives acting on behalf of the Company.

Warranty Disclaimer

1.6 All goods supplied are subject strictly to the manufacturer’s warranty, if any.

1.7 The Company is not the manufacturer and does not provide any independent warranty or guarantee.

1.8 Warranty becomes void in the event of:

  • Installation or repair by unqualified or unauthorised persons
  • Misuse, neglect, or use outside manufacturer specifications
  • Physical damage, tampering, or alteration
  • Failure to provide valid proof of purchase

1.9 This clause is subject to applicable South African consumer protection legislation.

Quotations

2.1 Quotations are valid for 7 (seven) calendar days unless otherwise stated.

2.2 Quotations are subject to stock availability and pricing changes prior to acceptance.

Payment Terms

3.1 Full payment is required prior to shipment or release of goods.

3.2 Accepted payment methods: EFT and cash deposits (2% bank levy applies).

3.3 No COD or cheque payments are accepted.

3.4 Orders are only binding once accepted by management.

3.5 Customers are responsible for ensuring product suitability prior to purchase.

3.6 Prices may vary due to exchange rates, supplier changes, or external cost increases.

Shipping & Delivery

4.1 Prices exclude shipping unless otherwise stated.

4.2 Delivery is deemed complete upon signature or handover to the carrier.

4.3 Risk transfers upon delivery to the carrier or customer, whichever occurs first.

4.4 Ownership remains with the Company until full payment is received.

4.5 The Company is not liable for delays beyond its reasonable control.

Pricing

5.1 Prices are subject to change without notice.

5.2 The applicable price is the price at time of order confirmation or invoice.

5.3 The Company may adjust pricing due to supplier increases, taxes, or currency fluctuations.

Orders

6.1 All orders must be submitted in writing.

6.2 Telephonic orders may be accepted at the Company’s discretion.

6.3 Orders may be delayed or refused pending written confirmation.

Cancellations

7.1 Cancellations must be submitted in writing.

7.2 Special or custom orders are strictly non-refundable.

7.3 Orders may be cancelled due to supplier or external constraints.

Processing Times

8.1 Orders are processed within 3–5 business days subject to stock and payment confirmation.

8.2 No processing on weekends or public holidays.

Back Orders

9.1 Customers will be notified of delays.

9.2 Partial shipments may occur.

9.3 Delivery dates are estimates only.

9.4 Orders delayed beyond 30 days may be cancelled with written notice.

Returns

10.1 Returns accepted only:

  • Within 7 days where legally applicable
  • Within manufacturer warranty for defects
  • Within 10 business days for incorrect deliveries

10.2 No returns for installed, altered, or integrated goods.

Returns Procedure

11.1 Prior written authorisation and return number required.

11.2 Customers bear all return costs and risk.

11.3 Goods must be unused, complete, and in original packaging.

11.4 Up to 25% handling fee may apply.

Warranty Limitation

12.1 All goods supplied are subject strictly to the manufacturer’s warranty, if any.

12.2 The Company is not the manufacturer and does not provide any independent warranty or guarantee.

12.3 Warranty becomes void in the event of:

  • Installation or repair by unqualified or unauthorised persons
  • Misuse, neglect, or use outside manufacturer specifications
  • Physical damage, tampering, or alteration
  • Failure to provide valid proof of purchase

12.4 2-Year Workmanship Warranty (Installation Only)

12.4.1 The Company provides a 2-year workmanship warranty on installation services where applicable. This warranty applies only to installation-related workmanship and does not cover products or manufacturer equipment.

Scope of Coverage (Inclusions):

12.4.2 This warranty covers defects arising from faulty electrical installation, including wiring, connections, and configuration of the inverter and battery system.

Exclusions:

12.4.3 This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage due to misuse, overloading, or incorrect application
  • Failures resulting from improper maintenance or neglect
  • Damage caused by external factors such as power surges, lightning, or natural disasters

Conditions for Warranty Claims:

12.4.4 This warranty is only valid where the system has been installed and maintained by Solar Advice or an authorised representative.

12.4.5 Any alterations, repairs, or servicing performed by third parties, other companies, or independent electricians will void this warranty.

Limitation of Liability:

12.4.6 The Company’s liability under this workmanship warranty is limited strictly to the repair or replacement of defective installation work only and does not extend to any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12.4.7 This warranty is only valid where the system is used in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and properly maintained.

Repairs / RMA Process

13.1 The Company does not perform, manage, or execute any repairs on equipment supplied.

13.2 All repair claims, warranties, or RMA processes must be directed directly to the manufacturer or authorised repair centre.

13.3 The customer is solely responsible for all transport, insurance, packaging, and associated costs relating to any return, repair, or RMA process.

13.4 The Company is not an import agent or authorised repair facility of any manufacturer and provides assistance strictly on a facilitation or guidance basis only.

13.5 Any support provided by the Company is limited to general guidance and does not constitute acceptance of liability or responsibility for the outcome of any claim.

14

RMA Installation & Uninstallation

14.1 The Company may, at its discretion, refer customers to third-party installers or service providers. Installation and uninstallation services are chargeable and will be quoted separately.

14.2 All installation and uninstallation services are strictly between the customer and the appointed installer/service provider.

14.3 The Company accepts no liability whatsoever for workmanship, performance, safety, or conduct of any third-party installer.

Limitation of Liability

15.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profit, revenue, or business interruption
  • System performance issues or installation-related failures
  • Delays or events beyond reasonable control

15.2 The customer indemnifies and holds the Company harmless against any claims arising from installation, use, or operation of goods.

15.3 The Company’s total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the goods supplied.

Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to load shedding, supply chain disruption, transport delays, strikes, or governmental actions.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The customer consents to the jurisdiction of South African courts.

Domicilium

The customer selects the address on the quotation as their domicilium citandi et executandi.
